Looking to
connect?

If you can’t already tell, we really, really want to roll out the welcome wagon for you. There are a number of ways to connect with us.
Firstly, come on over! The best way to learn about Tzibur and to meet others is to come on over. Whether you’re looking for a soulful Shabbat experience, a way to connect with other Jewish families, or a smaller group to explore Judaism through shared interests, we have a place for you.
Want to meet us in person?
Shabbat is always coming! Our signature weekly gathering is Fridays at Temple 5 — an evening of warmth, music, great food, and deep connection. Whether you’re coming for the first time or the fiftieth, you’ll find a table that feels like home.
Families always belong. Raising Jewish kids in the city comes with its own joys and challenges, and you don’t have to do it alone. Shalom Harlem is where families of all backgrounds gather to celebrate, play, and build Jewish life together. From holidays to hands-on learning, it’s a space to connect and bring traditions alive.
Come full circle. Some of the best conversations happen in small groups. Circles are intimate gatherings where you can connect around shared experiences, interests, or Jewish exploration. Whether it’s a bridge-building cohort, a group of mixed-heritage couples, a Rosh Chodesh group, a deep dive into text study, or a space to process big life moments, Circles make space for community that feels personal, meaningful, and just the right size.

Want to become a stakeholder?
We are building something lasting here in Harlem, and at the heart of it is a belief that everyone belongs. Now we’re building a circle of Stakeholders — people who step forward to make a recurring monthly gift so that our community has a steady, reliable foundation to stand on. Stakeholders receive quarterly reports plus priority invitations to small-group Circles. It’s not about buying in — it’s about building in — becoming part of the backbone that makes this home possible.
Parents and extended family of community members — you are invited to join our Parents Circle! Please be in touch if you’re inspired to learn more.
Looking to partner with us?
We have a bold vision to serve the 12,000 Jewish households in Harlem, and we can’t do that alone. If you’re an organization, business, or community leader who shares our vision for a vibrant Jewish life in Harlem, we’d love to partner with you. Whether through co-hosting programs, offering your unique resources, or joining us in creating memorable experiences for our growing community, together, we can build something meaningful that reflects the diverse needs and dreams of our neighborhood.
